The first

The first of fast    
thirty days to last
from dawn to dusk

It rained

It was just a short one,  

rain

twelve minutes to be precise,

It wasn't too heavy

enough to sooth the feeling of thirsty.

It wasn't meant for us

It was plants and trees

and grass

for birds and butterflies.

yes, it rained.

Time

As we glide along

Time

with seconds ticking away
and sun switching rooms
over bright and dark
and moon playing hide and seek
we are stepping with purpose
a journey of our own making.

Then we got used to the unknown
that opens up different rooms
of different keys and brightness
with rule of probability.

At the edge of time
which happens everyday
we reflect on mirror of fate
to see colours and patterns
of good and bad.

At various junctions and rooms
we should remain as we are
on values we cherish

at the mercy....

I am still referring to the horizon

too far to reach, yet so clear to eyes
Its the freedom of human
and it's the constraint of human.

we are hoping for rain to come
we are waiting for day to cool
we are waiting for future to land
as we imagine and hope.

things happen as fate
way beyond reach
as we continue saying

Out of many

Out of many I had seen
A few stand out, really memorable

One being one of the earliest
as both you walked through
holding gadgets for the beach
carrying camera to capture memories

Another one was a bit later
for me to remember
as a person with character

The other one was different
with setting so familiar
telling the whole truth, not a liar

Holding hearts

There were two hearts

glued together over years
before fate took them away
along different routes

and finally
both remember the other
with some little attachment
of friendship that will never die

with lovely children of their own
time will tell if they get back somehow
not for them, but for their children
over stories never told....

A fate, a healer

Even when fate comes in shadowy figure

drawing is never my forte

anything close to masterpiece

Then came  modern art software

that can convert photo into drawings

as real as done by artist.

It does help

people without artistic veins

to feel what's like to be Leonardo da Vinci 

I had never shown

I find it easier to explore what's in a photo

to articulate the colour and feel of fabric

to appreciate the type of shawl worn

to describe hair flowing with wind

to sense the glimpse of mood

of joy, sadness, cheerful and concern.

and obviously

it would a lot easier to translate

a picture into a classic writing

especially about a person

I know and destined forever.

It's like seeing through the eyes

of Lienn and Rienn

that I see Ummi

of whom I had shared joy and sorrow.

and the drawing is a window
